For obvious reasons, I couldn't post this until now.I made a "toe-less" stocking for Rob based on the Christmas card he made for us last year. You can see an image of the card here.
...such a good idea after all. It felted tighter and tighter each time Rob washed his hands and then he got a rash from it.
I've scarred a wedding ring onto his finger!
Now the ring has shrunk so much it barely fits his pinkie. Guess we'll be making a trip to the jewelry store soon to get his "real" ring fixed.
I haven't posted in forever, but I have done a little knitting in the interim.
The guard broke on Rob's wedding ring, so I knit him a temporary one until we can get to a jewelry store. It felted when he washed his hands.
He calls it his "hippy ring" and he likes it better than his regular gold ring. Hm. Maybe I'll knit myself one that matches.
I started these socks as a Christmas present for Rob. And then Idget broke one of my DPN's. And I won't mention what he did to the WIP. So then they became a birthday present. Urgh, were supposed to be a birthday present. I did FINALLY manage to get them done in time for Rob to wear to the opening of his recent art show. Is that normally a gift-giving occasion?
The pattern's available here.
Rob wore holes in the toes and heels of his favorite socks, but I was able to knit back the worn parts even though the socks themselves weren't hand-knit. I am woman, hear me roar!

My nephew Jaidan is in a monster phase. At Thanksgiving, all he wanted to do was draw monsters with Rob. One of Rob's co-workers makes these great hats, so we got Jaidan one for Christmas.
